It’s 1990 and Iraq has just invaded Kuwait. Anna King knows that war is contrary to her Amish ways and figures her father might not approve of her getting involved in any way. Yet, wanting to do something to help America’s troops, Anna and her feisty friend Sofia volunteer to write letters of encouragement to the men who are deployed into the conflict. Anna just wants to be a blessing… Sofia just wants to find a husband. What could possibly go wrong with such a pure and noble mission?
It turns out plenty! Especially when all these lonely pen pals happen to get a weekend pass to surprise the girls, and end up arriving at Fern’s Cheese Shop where the two girls work - on the very same day!
Will Anna’s father find out about her secret mission? Will Sofia finally find a husband? Will true romance be in the air for Anna (or is it just the Limburger cheese?)

Cost/Inclusions: The cost for this one-day trip is $150 and includes your transportation for the trip (via spacious 55-seater, restroom & video equipped Motorcoach), a quick stop to see the world’s largest cuckoo clock, your show ticket at Ohio Star Theater, family-style dinner at Dutch Valley Restaurant, quick shopping opportunity at the Dutch Valley Shops, light snacks & bottled water on the bus, games, prizes & driver tip. NOTE: You are welcome to bring a cooler w/ice for under the bus, if you would like to be able to keep meats/cheeses cold, should you plan on buying any at the Dutch Valley Market (part of the Dutch Valley Shops).
Deadline: The official registration deadline is May 12th, however, you MAY still be able to register after that, IF seating & tickets are still available – call to inquire before registering, if after this date. Cancellation policy – all money is fully refundable through midnight of the official registration deadline. After that, you will receive a full refund less any non-refundable charges (i.e. theater tickets, service fees, etc.- which depends on exact cancellation date). NO REFUNDS within the 30 days prior to the trip, unless a substitute is found for your reservation. Written notice of cancellation is required before any monies are refunded.
In the event that Ohio Star Theater cancels their show, you will receive a full refund.
In the event of any other more “minor” itinerary changes, a reasonable & comparable substitute will be made at the tour leaders’ discretion. (See registration form for more information)
