FAQs
How do I register for a tour?
You can register at www.carriesbustours.com by clicking the ‘Book Now’ buttons that appear throughout the website.
How early should I book my tour?
It is advisable to book your tours early. Some tours fill more quickly than others, so it is difficult to say for sure. Reservations within the last 30 days prior to a tour are based on not only remaining space on the Motor Coach, but whether or not event tickets & seating are still available for the tour.
Where are your pick-up/drop-off locations? Are all locations available for all tours?

Can I make a Deposit instead of paying for the entire tour All at once?
Tours over $300 can be reserved with a 50% deposit. Otherwise, payment in full is to be made upon registration. If an exception is needed, you must make your reservations by phone, not online. To do this, please call Carrie at 724-640-8828. If it is within 30–45 days before the tour, this may not be an option.
Do you offer Trip insurance?
Carrie’s Bus Tours now offers travel insurance through Trawick International. You can generate your own quote through our website homepage, or reach out for us to email you a quote.
What is the weather policy for Baseball games?
Weather Policy: We are subject to the Pittsburgh Pirates Rainout Policy for Group Tickets regarding rain checks.
As far as the bus transportation is concerned, if the game is called prior to leaving for Pittsburgh, transportation fees will not apply unless the bus has already left the bus garage to pick us up – then a nominal $5.00pp will apply to pay the driver for their time & cover fuel charges to the pick-up location. If we have already been transported to the game & the game is called, we still have to pay for transportation – just as you would lose fuel/parking fees if you drove to the game personally & the game was called. What that means is that when we go back for the rescheduled game, transportation fees will be owed again. This will either be $0-$5pp for games that were called prior to departure or $25-$30pp for games called after being transported by the bus previously. If you cannot make the rescheduled game, as a courtesy, every effort will be made to fill your seat or obtain an individual rain check, but Carrie’s Bus Tours is not responsible for any loss incurred as a result.
Are your bus trips open to children & Is there special pricing for Children?
Most of our trips are family friendly, unless otherwise noted. Children 2 years of age or older are welcome, providing they are able to remain seated on the bus. Some trips have a child price & others offer the same pricing for both children & adults. Anyone under the age of 18 must be accompanied by an adult.
How frequently are comfort stops made?
It depends on how far we are traveling, but generally we will stop every 1.5-3 hours. These stops will be at the discretion of the driver or tour director. If there is an emergency need, there is a bathroom on the Motor Coach. Most stops will be between 15 & 30 minutes in duration.
How early does boarding begin?
Generally, boarding begins about 15 minutes before departure. If you have not arrived by the departure time, we reserve the right to depart without you. Tours are on a timeline & it is unfair to those that arrived in a timely manner to risk being late to an event by waiting on people. If you miss the departure, the amount you paid for the tour will not be refunded.
Can people with mobility issues be accommodated?
We do our very best to accommodate any special needs. While many of our destinations are handicap accessible, not all motorcoaches are. For the most part, if you are able to do the few steps up into the bus, it should be fine. Canes, walker & basic wheelchairs fit easily under the bus, as do many scooters. And upon request, the first few rows are available for those with mobility issues. It is best to call and let us know what those needs are & then we can determine what is feasible.
What can I bring on the Motor Coach with me?
For single day tours, a small carry- on bag is permitted. It must be able to fit in the overhead storage. You may also bring a cooler for under the bus if you plan to make any perishable purchases. If it is an overnight or multi-night trip, you are also permitted to bring one suitcase per person. Suggested items to bring with you include a blanket, pillow, ear plugs, sleep mask, sweater/sweatshirt, phone charger & special snacks or drinks you would like to have while travelling. NOTE: NO GLASS BOTTLES OR GLASS OF ANY KIND IS PERMITTED UP IN THE PASSENGER AREA OF THE MOTOR COACH.
What amenities are available on the Motor Coach?
All Motor Coaches are restroom equipped, have climate control, reclining seats, Wi-Fi & outlets in every row.
May I leave items on the Motor Coach when we are touring?
You will retain your seat for the duration of the tour & may leave items on the bus, at your own discretion. Carrie’s Bus Tours cannot be held liable for lost or stolen items. We recommend packing a large zippered foldable tote bag to store your purchases under the bus. This will help ensure that all of your purchases stay together.
Do you Assign Seats?
Some tours do have assigned seats, but many do not. Upon request, those with mobility issues can be seated in the front few rows. Seating in the front of the bus is not guaranteed for those that get motion sick, so plan accordingly with Dramamine, Sea-Band wristbands or similar products to avoid nausea.
What happens if the tour is delayed or disrupted?
We do our best to ensure the tours go as planned but circumstances out of our control may arise that could cause a delay in our arrival time or our return home. Carrie’s Bus Tours cannot be held responsible for any consequential losses or damages. When circumstances do arise, we will do our best to rectify anything within our control.

Why might an itinerary change?
In the event of any unforeseen circumstances, Carrie’s Bus Tours reserves the right to make a reasonable & comparable substitute. This will be at the sole discretion of the tour leader. Should one of the venues cancel a show/performance, or something of comparable magnitude, the trip will be cancelled & you will receive a full refund.

Groups are always welcome. Please email carriesbustours@gmail.com for more information.
What is your cancellation Policy?
This can vary by tour, but unless otherwise noted, you will receive a full refund if you cancel 61 days or more prior your trip. Between 46 & 60 days prior to your trip, you will receive a full refund less any non-refundable charges, which will vary by trip. No refunds within the 45 days prior to the trip, unless a substitute is found for your reservation. Written notice of cancellation is required before any monies are refunded. You can always transfer your reservation to another person, unless travel by plane, train or ship is involved, then stipulations apply.
