Once we get to Washington DC, you will be dropped off near the National Mall (not an actual mall for those that may not know that) and you will be free to do as you please throughout the city for the day. At the time of drop-off, you will be instructed as to when & where you must be to meat the bus to head home. We will be in the city from ROUGHLY 11am-7pm. The Smithsonian has more than a dozen free museums in Washington DC, including the Air & Space Museum, Natural History Museum, American History Museum, National Museum of American Indian, National Postal Museum & more. There are also many monuments you can visit. Monuments are free to look at from the outside, but some of them offer tours, which are NOT included in the cost of this trip. And, there are MANY shopping opportunities!
Getting around Washington DC:
Washington DC is very walkable, but another easy & relatively cheap way to get around is the Metro (www.wmata.com). If you are not familiar with the Metro, check out their website for the Metrorail & Metrobus schedules/maps. Keep in mind that the Metrorail requires the purchase of a SmarTrip® Card from a farecard machine at any Metro Station or from the website listed above. The Metrobus requires EXACT change. Aside from these options are bike rental, taxi’s & Uber, but they can be very expensive. Please consider planning ahead for the best experience.

After that, you will receive a full refund less any non-refundable charges (i.e. theater tickets, service fees, etc.- which depends on exact cancellation date). NO REFUNDS within the 30 days prior to the trip, unless a substitute is found for your reservation. Written notice of cancellation is required before any monies are refunded. You can always transfer your reservation to another person.
